How to Use?
- 1
Choose your input type
Select "Custom Value" from the Input Type dropdown to enter a known area for conversion, or pick Rectangle, Circle, or Triangle to calculate area directly from shape dimensions.
- 2
Enter the area value or shape dimensions
For Custom Value, type the numeric area and select the unit from the dropdown. For shapes, enter the required measurements in metres (length and width for rectangles, radius for circles, base and height for triangles).
- 3
Select the display unit
Use the "Display Result In" dropdown to choose which unit is highlighted as the primary result. All unit equivalents are always shown in the results panel.
- 4
Review the result
The result panel shows your value in the selected display unit with all other unit equivalents listed below for quick comparison.
- 5
Cross-check with manual calculation
Use the conversion reference table in the description section to verify key factors. A quick sanity check: 1 m² ≈ 10.8 ft² and 1 ha ≈ 2.47 acres. If a result seems off, double-check your input unit selection.

Use related converters for additional needs
If you need to convert length, volume, or weight alongside area, our Length Converter, Volume Converter, and Weight Converter use the same interface and base-unit architecture for consistent results.
